When Your Brain Gets Fuzzy & Your Feet Go Numb, That's Shock, Right?

So, this morning we had our "bleeding check up". Our nurse came in and began the wanding. I could tell immediately that it was better. The picture was nice and black when the first sac popped up. The next few minutes went a little like this:

Susan: -found the heartbeat & started scanning over to find Baby B. Then there was a white blip. She stiffened and slowly looked at me. "Did you see that?"

Me: "What the fuck was that, Susan??"

Susan: -scanned back. Blip Blip. Then over again Blip Blip, blackness, Blip.- "How did we miss this?? I'm not crazy, right? You see it, too?"

Me: -starting to go numb all over, looked at Trina- "Baby, you're having triplets!"

Trina: -covers her face- "But I don't want triplets!!" -starts laughing-

Me: -paces, sits, paces, looks over Susan's shoulder at the screen, paces...repeats-

Susan: "This just can't be, let me take some measurements..." -mumbles to self the whole time-

Baby A: 7wks1day 132bpm
Baby B: "Sneaky Pete": 7wks 141bpm
Baby C: (Usurped by "new" Baby B): 7wks 134 bpm.

Then we started looking through all of the u/s pics stored in their computer and zooming in to see where we went wrong. Sure enough, in a few, there was a shadow in the back where baby B was peeking out from behind Baby A.

And that, folks, is how we found out we were having triplets. Feel free to send hand-me-downs of any sort and cash donations are always appreciated. :)

Holy mother of God...I don't know what to say! So happy for you girls? Happy it's you and not me? Thrilled beyond belief that your very long and difficult road is now giving you 3 blessings...? And even that doesn't cut it. LOL
If I'm in shock, I can only imagine what you guys are thinking about right now.
We will happily pass down to you, although all of our newborn stuff is long gone. I'll start saving stuff now though...and then you can pass it back to me when we have our second! Wow...right when you think it's getting exciting. :) Little did you know...CONGRATULATIONS! No wonder she's so sick....

I echo all that Holy S--t! of others and more! Wow, what a thrill! I remember when Puffer announced they had "found" a Baby B. I didn't know it was possible not to know-- but this an order of magnitude higher on the shock scale! Triplets! I hope Trina is feeling better. And there's plenty o' support & hand-me-downs to be had on multiples boards.

Wow. Just wow!

OMG! OMG! OMG!!!! That is both exciting and frightening at the same time. I did no see that coming- and clearly neither did you guys. Wow! Total shock. No wonder Trina has been having such a tough time. All things considered, she is gestating like a champ!

if you don't mind, I will not join you in the non-gestating-mother-to-be-of- tripletts club. :)

CONGRATULATIONS !!!! How exciting. 3 beautifully healthy little babies. No wonder she's been so miserable.
That explains the bleeding too. Her poor uterus is being stretched a TON more than a singleton pregnancy.
I hope the shock subsides to happiness. because, well. You don't know any better :)

Now it makes sense why Trina was so darn sick!

You'll be fine with triplets. My cousin had a set of twins and then 1-1/2 later a singleton. They said they didn't realize how hard it was with the twins since they had nothing to compare it to. Now with a singleton, it's a piece of cake. ;)

Hang onto yer butts! haha. Wow that is so amazing! this makes up for all those negatives.....someone's throwing you a big bone here. :)

No wonder Trina's been feeling so poopy! Poor girl. I know you will give her loads of support and backrubs to help her get through. You are both going to be wonderful parents. It makes me happy that three sweet little lives will be entering this world with you as parents. the world needs more good, well-raised and loved people!

you go, girls! haha
