More Grey Area...

Apparently solid reassurance is hard to come by. Today's beta was only 366. That leaves us with a doubling time of around 65hrs instead of the 48hrs you like to see. I was really hoping today's results would ease some of the emotional stress caused by the continued spotting. Our next beta is Friday. What are the odds it will bring irrefutable proof that everything is just peachy?

Oh, I do wish the doubling rate were faster. From what I know the really important thing is just that the beta keeps rising. I would certainly be anxious too. We'll be here sending you hope that Friday's beta will be even higher and better.

I hope that you get some good news on Friday! Just remember that lots of people have healthy babies/pregnancies and don't ever get beta tests so they don't know what the numbers would've been! I hope all is well!

I'm still optimistic....what did the doc's office say? Is Trina still spotting?

The Dr said everything is fine and not to worry. Our hcg, progesterone and estrogen numbers are all great for this stage. I'm still worrying, it's what I do. Trina is still spotting, but mostly when she's on her feet for too long.

I'm sorry the number wasn't what you wanted. I think the fact that it is rising is good - will keep fingers crossed the trend continues on Friday.

I am a long time reader, first time commenter. I just prayed really really hard for the both of you! Just as I did when you both went in for the transfer. I wish you both your hearts desire for a baby.
Lots of love & baby vibes

Long time reader and first time commentor as well.

Writing cause we are actually in the sameish boat. I have just had two betas as well and mine didn't double either but were solidly rising.

My doctor was also quite optimistic as well, I have had a repeat beta tuesday and another tomorrow to see if there is any change.

However, from my obsessive Dr Googling, I have formed an opinion that perhaps hcGs are not that great an indication of what is happening anyway and that it is best to wait for a scan a bit later on.

I am hoping it all goes really well for you guys (and me too!)

Wishing the best for you both. How frustratinig not to have a solid answer, but rising is good & from my recent personal experience, the m/c bleeding went on for 10 days, about 7 of them were quite heavy, so it's good that the spotting has abated.
I'll be checking in and thinking of you often.

I hope Friday's news is better, but sounds like rising is nothing but a good sign. I hope the numbers soar, so that your mind can be at ease (and your heart soar as well).

It's very frustrating especially when you're spotting. I heard of another story recently where a lady had slow rising betas and she is doing just fine in her pregnancy. Hang in there - Friday's beta will be better!

I hope that today brought you good news! For what its worth, I know lots of women who didn't have great doubling times and now have healthy babies. I'm so desperately wishing the same for you.
